- ADMINISTRATION PERMITTING COUNTER-
- DON'T FLUSH WIPES - We are all in this together and are doing everything we can during this unprecedented time. We need you to do your part. Resources are being strained and many people are stocking up on toilet paper and so-called flushable wipes, but it is imperative- DO NOT FLUSH ANY WIPES or ANY SUBSTANCES OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER down the toilet. Even though many wipes claim to be flushable, they and items like paper towels in fact clog our treatment machinery and can cause a lot of damage before they reach our facility. They can get stuck in your pipes and cause a sewer overflow, even in your house! If you use wipes dispose of them in the trash. Only three things are safe to flush: pee, poo, and toilet paper (no paper towels!).
TOURS- All facility tours are temporarily cancelled. In an effort to reduce the threat of the spread of illness and to exercise caution, we are cancelling all facility tours and availability for bird watching until further notice. We work tirelessly to protect public health and the environment, so naturally our community and staff’s well-being is our first concern. We will continue to operate the facility 24 hours a day, 365 days a week, as always.
BIRD WATCHING-All bird watching is temporarily closed. We appreciate your understanding.
- BIOSOLIDS-Biosolids are temporarily unavailable to the public during this time.
