District Service Rates Remain Low

The Goleta Sanitary District’s sewer service charge (SSC) rates continue to be among the lowest in the County. This fiscal year, July 2020–June 2021, the SSC rates will remain the same for wastewater collection, treatment, and reclamation. The cost average for a single-family residence is $44.20 a month, or only $1.43 a day. The Santa Barbara County average SSC rate is $64.60. Goleta Sanitary District’s rate is 32% less than the County average.

Keeping SSC rates reasonable while making sure that we plan for the long-term operations and asset replacements ensure that we are well-prepared for the future.
