Ongoing Capital Improvement Project for 2020 Rehabilitates Over 7500' of Sewer Lines

As part our Long Range Capital Plan, the District will be rehabilitating 386 linear feet of 6-inch diameter sewer line, approximately 6,571 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sewer line, approximately 777 linear feet of 12-inch diameter sewer line, and will be rehabilitating a number of manholes in areas throughout the unincorporated Santa Barbara area of the District. Please see the vicinity map below for detailed illustration. This project is the first to utilize the District’s Asset Management Program to identify sewer lines in most need of repair and will be repaired using Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation. The CIPP process is much less disruptive to the neighborhood and has been used successfully by the District for other projects. For more information about the CIPP process, please visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cured-in-place_pipe If you have questions about the project, please email Shamus O'Donnell, Collection System Manager at This email address is being protected from spambots.
