Annexation

All propoerties receiving sewage collection, treatment , and disposal service from the District must be annexed into the District's service area. Annexation to the District is made pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.  A complete summary of the annexation process is provided in Section 3 of the 2008 Goleta Sanitary District Standard Specifications for Design & Construction of Sanitary Sewers. The Applicant shall pay all costs for annexation to the District and construction of sewer facilities.   1. A brief letter to the District requesting annexation with a description of land and facilities to be annexed. The letter should include the following information:
    • Property address
    • Property APN
    • Size in Acreage
    • Description of existing dwellings or use on property
    • Description of planned Use or Intent of the Project
  2. "Application for Annexation and Landowner Consent to Annexation" form completed by property owner(s); must include separate form for each property owner involved in the annexation. Form is provided below.

Payment of the Annexation Processing Fee will be requested upon submission of the above. The fee shall be made payable to the GOLETA SANITARY DISTRICT.
