RETIREMENT OF LONG-TIME DIRECTOR GEORGE EMERSON

After nearly 30 years of service to the District, on August 7, 2023 Board member George Emerson tendered his resignation. 

Mr. Emerson saw the District through many changes for the better, including treatment plant upgrading projects,collection system upgrades and rehabilitation projects, and the plant upgrade to full secondary treatment project. His wise council and calm presence has been of great benefit. We wish him all the best in his retirement and thank him very much for his service to the residents of the Goleta Valley.

Mr. Emerson represented the residents and businesses of the first voting district in the newly-adopted voting areas.
